NBA Draft prospect Luka Doncic hit a clutch 3-pointer to help Real Madrid win the Spanish ACB championship series three games to one.

NBA Draft is almost here, and the Sacramento Kings are still debating hard on the number two pick.  They have narrowed it down to three options.  Luka Doncic is the only of three players still playing, though.  Even that changed on June 19.

Real Madrid win title

Doncic’s current team, Real Madrid, was facing Baskonia in the Spanish ACB finals.  It was a best of five series, and Real lost the opening game at home.  They stormed back to win two straight heading into Tuesday’s contest.

Madrid was once again victorious.  They won 96-85 to clinch the championship and cap off a phenomenal season.  Real Madrid also won the Euroleague title.  It was a three point game late in the fourth quarter until Luka Doncic hit an insanely difficult 3-pointer which you can see in the Tweet below.

Doncic’s performance

It was not the best night for Doncic, but that stat line still stands out in a few ways.  He played 28 minutes and had eight points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and two turnovers.  Doncic had an outstanding plus 17 plus/minus which was the best of the night.  He also shot two of six from the field, one of four on 3-pointers, and three of four on free throws.  That clutch three made up for lackluster numbers, though.

Final thoughts

Luka Doncic won another title with Real Madrid on June 19.  All this 19-year-old does is win things.  The Kings should select him at pick two.  He is the best player in this draft class today and has the potential to be a perennial All-Star.  The Sacramento Kings will regret passing on Doncic if they do so in the 2018 NBA Draft.
