2018 NBA Draft: Sacramento Kings To Begin Pre-Draft Workouts

The Sacramento Kings will host their first pre-draft workout today. Scroll down below to see the list of players that will take part in the event.

The Sacramento Kings received the second overall pick in dramatic fashion last Tuesday. Now Vlade Divac and company will host their first pre-draft workout of the offseason to see who could be a potential King next season.

Listed down below are the list of players that the Kings have invited to participate in today’s workout as well as a little information about each guy.

List of Prospects

Trevon Bluiett (Guard/6’6″/208 pounds)

The senior guard played a key part in why the Xavier Wildcats were a powerhouse team this collegiate season and were given the top seed in their bracket during the March Madness tournament.

For the year, Bluiett averaged 19.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 43.7% from the floor and 41.7% from the three-point line.

Jevon Carter (Guard/6’2″/196 pounds)

This season, Jevon Carter was the top scorer for the University of West Virginia basketball program as he averaged 17.3 points a contest while shooting 42.2% from the floor and 39.3% from the perimeter.

Carter was also able to distribute the ball and be a successful defender as he gave the Mountaineers over six assists and three steals a game.

Wenyen Gabriel (Forward/6’9″/205 pounds)

Wenyen Gabriel concluded his second season at the University of Kentucky this year. During his time with the blue and white, he averaged 5.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and a block per contest while making 42.6% of his shots from the court.

In his most recent season with the Wildcats, he averaged 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 44.2% from the floor and 39.6% from beyond the arc.

Caleb Martin (Forward/6’6″/ 196 pounds)

Caleb Martin rose up in mock drafts after having a rejuvenating season with the Nevada Wolf Pack. In his lone with Nevada, Martin averaged 18.9 points and 5.4 rebounds a game while making 45.4% of his shots and 40.3% of his three-pointers.

Prior to transferring to Nevada, Maritn played two seasons at North Carolina State where he averaged 8 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest.

Cameron Reynolds (Forward/6’8″/215 pounds)

Cameron Reynolds ended his five-year tenure at Tulane University on a high note as he averaged 15.1 points and 6.3 rebounds a game while making 40.8% of his shots from the floor.

During his five seasons with the Green Wave, Reynolds contributed roughly 10 points, 4 rebounds, and one assist per contest.

Gabe Vincent (Guard/6’3″/200 pounds)

Gabe Vincent has spent the last four years attending the University of California, Santa Barbara. During his time with the Gauchos, he averaged 12.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists a game.

Vincent arguably had his most efficient season this year as he scored over 12 points a contest and made 45% of his shots from the floor and 37.7% of his shots from the perimeter.

Final Thoughts

Although these names will not come to mind when (or if) the Kings select at #2 in the upcoming draft, let us not forget that Sacramento also holds the 36th pick as well.

If these players make a great impression in front of the Kings today, they could be repping Sacramento on their chest in the near future.
