Bogdan Bogdanovic returns after missing 1 game with a hamstring injury
By Tyler Watts
Bogdan Bogdanovic returned to the Sacramento Kings rotation against the Hawks on March 22. Continue reading for more on his injury and health going forward.
Bogdan Bogdanovic is a crucial piece for the Sacramento Kings moving forward. He looks to be a starter and versatile weapon on the wing for many years to come. That is why the news of a sore left hamstring that caused him to miss Monday’s game was troubling.
Thankfully, Bogi returned on Thursday against the Atlanta Hawks after missing just one game. He only played 18 minutes (well below his 28.7 average as a starter), but scored 11 points with two rebound and three assists on four of six shooting from the field and a perfect three of three from the foul line. Bogdanovic looked healthy despite the limited playing time.
Going forward
The Kings only have nine games remaining this season, but I’d be lying if I said this injury is not concerning over that period. Hamstring injuries can be tricky and often have a way of popping back up unexpectedly. Hopefully, Bogdanovic remains healthy and in the starting five for the remainder of the season. Sacramento needs him on the court continuing to improve as they build for the future.
Final thoughts
Bogdan Bogdanovic returned on Thursday after missing one game with a sore hamstring. The Kings next play on Sunday against the Boston Celtics. Expect Bogi to be in the starting five and playing closer to his usual workload. The Kings do not have an easy road down the stretch, and a healthy Bogdanovic makes them a significantly better squad.
