Sacramento Kings: Vince Carter Balled Out In China
By Rafe Wong
Vince Carter recently made a trip to China where he participated in the Yao Ming Foundation game. To recap his performance, let’s just say he balled out.
Vince Carter has had a busy offseason so far. Last month, the eight-time All-Star signed a one-year contract with the Sacramento Kings. Later on, Carter showed up to some of the Kings’ summer league games where one would think he was the actual coach of the team.
Fast forward to now and Carter is in China. The reason why the Carter is overseas is that he recently participated in the Yao Ming Foundation game and he certainly showed that he is not done yet with playing basketball.
Highlights
Listed down below is a video of some of Carter’s top highlights (credit to Sacramento Kings’ Twitter account) from this weekend’s game. As one can see, he definitely displays a little bit of everything on the court.
Scoring, passing, defense, and of course, dunking were all displayed by Carter in his recent game.
The clip also shows Carter with Willie Cauley-Stein in the game, one of the new teammates Carter will be playing with in this upcoming NBA season.

Final Thoughts
Overall, it was entertaining to see Carter showcase his skills in a friendly matchup overseas. Although, it is not very surprising.
Although Carter may be past his prime, the 19-year veteran can still be effective for an NBA squad as he averaged 8 points and 3.1 rebounds a game with the playoff-competing Memphis Grizzlies last year.
Hopefully, for the Kings and their fans, they will witness a little of what Carter displayed in China onto the NBA hardwood in the upcoming season.
