What to Watch for Tonight

New Rookie of the Month Stars Tonight

Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield was recently named Rookie of the Month in the NBA for March and tonight I expect him to build on that honor.

Hield is finally getting consistent minutes and proving that he is a capable scorer and three-point marksman in the NBA.  I do not think we are far off from Hield averaging 18 points a game with 2.5 three-pointers made on 40% from distance.

Expect a big performance from Hield tonight against a Mavericks team that struggles against opposing guards.

Playing the Rest Game

The “rest” will rear its ugly head again tonight inside the Golden 1 Center.  I believe the Kings will rest Kosta Koufos, Anthony Tolliver and Ty Lawson in tonight’s contest.

MUST READ: Should the Sacramento Kings Stay in Their Lane?

Koufos appears to be bordering on a shut down as Sacramento has rested him three straight games and four of their last five contests.  It simply comes down to trying to find minutes for the three young big men.

I believe Lawson and Tolliver sit tonight because they both are holding back young players and they were active in the last game.

I could be wrong about this, so please be sure to check closer to tipoff to see who is actually getting rested tonight.
