9. Webber’s Knee Injury: In the 2003 playoffs, the Sacramento Kings were playing the Dallas Mavericks. In Game 2 of this series forward Chris Webber suffered a freak injury, resulting in an ACL tear.
What made the injury heartbreaking was that many thought that the Kings were the favorite to win the championship that season, and even though Sacramento was able to get the series to a Game 7, the absence of Webber was greatly missed and perhaps was the difference between the Kings advancing to the next round or not.
