This article takes a look at the current NBA Draft landscape and provides you with a mock draft of each first round selection in the pre-lottery draft order.

The 2017 NBA Draft is approaching quickly.  On June 22, the picks will flow in, and each team will have new players to call their own.

The draft order will be determined tonight, May 16.   The lottery will determine which teams select in the top three.  You can read more about how the lottery works here.  In some cases, it will, also, determine which team makes that selection.  Check out the lottery odds here.

Today, I am going to do a Mock Draft of the first round assuming everything stays as it stands right now.  That means the draft selections are in reverse order of regular season record (with all trades that occurred before May 15 factored in) and there is no movement from today forward.   There is a short write-up following each draft choice of why I think that team will pick that particular player.  Let us roll right into it.

*NOTE: This is an update version of the Mock Draft I published on May 9.  Some of the selections and content about those picks have not changed and others have.
