The Sacramento Kings completed the season sweep against the Denver Nuggets winning tonight’s game 115-106.

They now have improved their record to 31-46 and have been victors of 4 of their last 6 games.

To start the game the Kings fell behind early as they trailed 23-27 after quarter number one, and couldn’t capitalize either in the second quarter as they trailed 55-62 going into halftime.

Offensively, the Kings had a solid first half, but their defense continues to hold them back as they allowed the Nuggets, who before this game were rank 16th in the league in points scored per game (102.1), to put up 62 points in one half.

Top performers in the first half for each team were Seth Curry who scored 17 points on 7-8 shooting for Sacramento and Joffrey Lauvergne who scored 14 points on 7-10 shooting for Denver.

Entering the second half, the Kings were then able to creep into Denver’s lead in the third quarter as they only trailed  84-88 going into the fourth. The purple and white were then able to finish strong as they outscored the Nuggets 31-18 in the final period, resulting in the Kings winning 115-106.

With the Kings playing the second part of a back-to-back and without significant contributors in DeMarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo, Marco Belinelli, and Omri Casspi Sacramento was still able to win the game by playing hard and having other players step up.
