Can The Sacramento Kings Get Out of the Losing Mode Against the Pacers?

We should do a dance to get DeMarcus Cousins’ ailing stomach to feel better. That way, he can be in the line-up tonight when the struggling Sacramento Kings look to get out of their losing mode against the injury-ravaged Indiana Pacers.

During this ugly four-game losing streak, we have seen just how much Cousins means to the Kings. Although Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore has tried desperately to pick up the slack, the missing piece in the middle has just been to glaring to overcome.

  • One of those glaring weaknesses has been on the defensive end. Over the past four games with Boogie out, the Kings have allowed over 100 points a game in three of the four games, including allowing over 110 points in two of those games. You are not going to win many games if teams keep torturing you from the offensive end.

Thankfully, their opponent tonight is a team that struggles to put the ball in the hope. The Pacers are a team that has been wreaked with injuries to start the season. The Pacers are slowly starting to get all of their pieces back, but the Pacers still have a hard time finding points.

This is where the Kings should have an advantage, as the Kings have more offensive pieces. I say “should” because despite the Pacers struggles on offense, Indiana still plays scrappy defense, and that could be a potential problem for the Kings tonight.

But likewise, if Cousins get’s over his stomach woes and play tonight, he could make the difference. But even without Cousins, the Kings have a wonderful opportunity to end their horrific slide and get back in the win column, as a struggling Pacer team may be just what the doctor ordered.

My prediction: Kings 104, Pacers 92
