Sacramento Kings release smartphone app with built-in cowbell

Gone are the days of having to bring a cowbell to the house formerly known as Arco.

Okay, not really – many still bring the traditional famed cowbell to Sleep Train Arena after the ban *glares at Maloofs* was lifted but in case you don’t have one, don’t want to carry one around or simply can’t find one – the Kings have good news for you. Just bring your smartphone to the game as the new Sacramento Kings app includes your own personal cowbell.

The announcement was made prior to the Kings’ home opener against the Denver Nuggets earlier this week but now we have our first look at the re-designed application and it’s pretty amazing. From the cowbell to upgrading seats to the Shaq Zone, there is fun and useful items littered throughout the app. This of course stacks on top of all the news/information you get from Kings.com along with video and pictures of recent games.

Pretty sweet addition by the Kings’ new ownership and tech team.
