It's safe to say that that Kelly Oubre Jr. isn't happy in Philadelphia.
Well, that's what his most recent comments seem to indicate. Like Joel Embiid before him, Oubre recently stated that he's tired of receiving abuse from Sixers fans in the City of Brotherly Love.
Kelly Oubre says he doesn’t feel the love from Philadelphia fans anymore and claims he’d cook anyone who thinks he’s garbage 👀

Good luck with that. Philly sports fans are known for being loud, opinionated, passionate, and tough. If you're on their good side, they'll have your back until the bitter end. If you're not... Again, good luck with that.
Oubre is apparently not getting along with Philadelphia sports fans, which is not a good sign for him. That's especially true when going into what will be a competitive season for minutes.
Kelly Oubre will have a tough year in Philadelphia
Unlike the Sacramento Kings, the Sixers had an productive offseason. It all started at the draft where they picked up potential superstar VJ Edgecome and the possible steal of the draft in Johni Broome. They also signed undrafted forward Hunter Sallis and
Over the course of the summer, the Sixers picked up both Jabari Walker and Dominick Barlow. On top of that, the team re-signed Eric Gordon and living legend Kyle Lowry.
This leaves the Sixers with a well-balanced slate of guards, all of whom will be competing for minutes. Oubre is likely to lose time and fall further down the rotation in favor of newer option like Edgecome who needs development and has a massive upside.
In addition to shooting guard, Oubre also plays small forward. With the addition of Broome, it's also getting more competitive for forwards on the Sixers. If Paul George is healthy enough to play even half the season, that minutes crunch at the three and the four will only get bigger.
Oubre may find his way to the Kings
Not everyone believes this is the case, but Kelly Oubre Jr. still might end up on the Kings roster. At this point, a midseason trade right before the deadline seems likely, if it happens at all.
As a small forward and a shooting guard, Oubre is the kind of high energy wing that the Kings need. That being said, he can be a bit chaotic at times and inconsistent on defense. That could be a symptom of the culture he is playing with on the Sixers more than anything else.
Really, the Kings don't need yet another shoot-first guard. But if they lean into the chaotic elements that make Oubre a compelling small forward, they could turn him into the perimeter defender they need as well as an unpredictable scoring threat.
