The NBA Cup is upon us. After a strong inaugural season, the league has decided to keep its middle-of-the-season tournament (formerly known as the "In-Season Tournament") for the long haul.

If you want information about how the tournament works or what kind of prizes are at stake, this is not the article. However, we do have an article explaining all of that (to access all of that, click here).

Instead, for this post, we are providing the schedule, results, and standings for our Sacramento Kings. After all, the Kings are what A Royal Pain is all about! This page will continue to update as more games are played and more scores hit the history books.

Sacramento Kings Schedule

So far, all we know are the games for the Group Play stage. The Kings are in the West A group. So, they will play the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Houston Rockets each once. Here is their schedule for those games.

Sacramento Kings Results

Sacramento Kings vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (November 15)

Despite missing DeMar DeRozan and Malik Monk while their opponent was completely healthy, the Kings were able to push the Timberwolves to an overtime thriller thanks to De'Aaron Fox's 60-point game. Unfortunately, the team still fell short – losing 130-126. Anthony Edwards also put together a strong showing of his own, scoring 36 points and canning six threes (Edwards leads the league in threes by a wide margin).

Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Clippers (November 22)

The Kings got Domantas Sabonis and DeMar DeRozan back for the first time in a couple of games, and the Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard and their leading scorer Norman Powell (23.3 PPG), yet Sacramento still lost to Los Angeles 104-88. Fox led the way with 29 points for the Kings. Meanwhile, James Harden was the Clippers' leading point gatherer with 22 points.

Sacramento Kings vs. Portland Trail Blazers (November 29)

The Kings continue to be the only team in West A to be without a victory in Group Play, as they fell to the Trail Blazers 106-115. The team was without DeRozan for the second straight game, as he continues to deal with a nagging back injury. However, they did get 29 points from Monk off the bench. The Blazers were led by Deandre Ayton, who had 26 points.

Sacramento Kings vs. Houston Rockets (December 3)

The Kings manage to avoid going winless in the Group Play stage of the NBA Cup, as they defeat the Rockets 120-111. The team was powered by a big night by Sabonis (27 points) and the team as a whole waking up from downtown (46.7%). Despite losing, the Rockets managed to stay in first place in West A. and, as a result, they will move on to the Knockout Rounds.
