4. Pascal Siakam
Siakam is on the trade block and has been linked to the Kings. The two-time All-Star helped the Raptors win a championship in 2019, but would his unique skill set fit in Sacramento?
Siakam is a career 32.1 percent 3-point shooter who loves to score in isolation. Does putting him next to Domantas Sabonis work? Sabonis has shot over 35 percent from 3-point range since joining the Kings, but he is a career 32.8 percent marksman and Fox has made just 32.9 percent. The Kings also love to play fast and get easy buckets. Having three stars that all struggle to make jumpers could quickly become problematic.
Siakam is an outstanding scorer and playmaker but is at his best with the ball in his hands. The Kings traded Tyrese Haliburton to allow Fox to be their top playmaker. Bringing in Siakam would give them more positional flexibility, but how does Sacramento make it fit?
Head coach Mike Brown and the Sacramento Kings could figure it out, but it would take time. Trading for a third star at the deadline would leave them with only a brief window to make it work. That is risky when having to make significant schematic changes. The Kings could do it for the star power, but only if they believe it makes them a title contender.
