Ranking every Kings player by trade likelihood
By Elaine Blum
13. Keegan Murray
Keegan Murray started his NBA career as a catch-and-shoot threat, breaking the record for most three-pointers made in a rookie season. Just one season later, he is putting the ball on the floor and guarding the opposing team’s best players as well.
He is evolving into a real two-way threat on the wing, and that is exactly what teams want. The Kings are not trading Murray, however. He is a core piece and the foundation for their future.
The Kings currently have five players under the age of 25 on their roster. Out of that group, Murray and Keon Ellis, who is on a two-way contract, are the only ones in the rotation. Sacramento is not letting their best young player go.
