Tier #2: Salary Filler

Kings Players In This Category: Orlando Robinson, Jordan McLaughlin, and Alex Len

The next category is the salary filler group. These players aren't on terrible contracts. In fact, in this specific case, all of them are on veteran minimum deals. But they also don't bring enough to the table to warrant assets in exchange for their services. These players typically play minor roles on their team (usually just adding positional depth), and in trades, their primary function is to make the money work (hence the name "salary filler"). However, unlike negative assets, you also don't need to attach picks to them to compel teams to take them.

In this tier, we have three Kings players: Orlando Robinson, Jordan McLaughlin, and Alex Len. As a user note, the player listed first is the one I view as the most tradeable within the group, and the one listed last is the one I deem to be the least tradeable.

Since all of them are on the same type of contract, my rankings are primarily based on age. Robinson is the youngest of the group (24 years old). Then, McLaughlin (28), and then Len (31). Being the youngest, Robinson theoretically has the most time to expand his game. Plus, because he's younger, he has less experience in the league, which makes his veteran minimum the cheapest of the bunch (making him slightly more enticing to other teams).
