Lakers vs. Kings NBA expert prediction and odds for Wednesday, March 13 (Bet the OVER)
By Peter Dewey
The Sacramento Kings are looking for a season sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers when they host them on Wednesday night.
Sacramento won the last meeting between these teams in Crypto.com Arena behind a triple-double from Domantas Sabonis. With the Lakers making a push for a top-six seed, the Kings would love to hold them off to improve their chances of landing one of those spots.
This is the second night of a back-to-back for the Kings after they blew out the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. Can the team keep the momentum going on Wednesday?

Lakers vs. Kings key players to watch
Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron James: The four-time champion aggravated his ankle in the last meeting between these teams, causing him to miss a game, but he dominated the Kings before exiting. James finished that game with 31 points, 13 assists, and five rebounds, shooting 10-for-16 from the field. He’ll be a handful to deal with on Wednesday.
Sacramento Kings
Domantas Sabonis: Sabonis got the best of Anthony Davis in the last meeting between these teams, putting up 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists for his league-leading 22nd triple-double of the season. Since then, Sabonis had back-to-back double-doubles with 31 and 25 points in those games prior to facing Milwaukee last night.
Lakers vs. Kings prediction and pick
While the Kings have dominated this matchup this season, they have not dominated against the spread at home this season, going 12-18 ATS in their 30 games at Golden 1 Center.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are tough to trust on the road since they’ve gone just 12-19 straight up away from Crypto.com Arena.
So, I’m looking to the total in this game, and there is a great trend to back that up.
In the Kings’ home games, the team has hit the OVER 19 times (going 19-10-1 to the OVER). These squads have also played some high-scoring affairs, combining for 259, 235, and 250 points in the three meetings so far this season.
So, is the OVER the play again? I think so, as the Kings rank just 29th in the NBA in defensive rating at home. While this didn’t hit last night, the Bucks had an awful shooting night from 3. I don’t see that holding up for the second straight night.
I expect offense to reign supreme in this divisional clash.
Pick: OVER 238.5 (-110)
