Kings vs. Suns NBA expert prediction and odds for Tuesday, Feb. 13 (Trends say bet Sacramento)
By Peter Dewey
The Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns are separated by just half a game in the Western Conference entering Tuesday night’s matchup on TNT.
Sacramento is one game back in the win column, but it could make up for that with a win in Phoenix, where the Suns have not been dominant – especially against the spread.
After losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in their last game, the Kings are hoping to turn things around on the road, where they have been successful when set as underdogs – the spot they find themselves in tonight.
Phoenix lost a heartbreaker to Golden State on a Stephen Curry game-winner on Saturday night, and it would love to stay in the top six in the West with a win in this game.

Kings vs. Suns key players to watch
Sacramento Kings
Domantas Sabonis: A triple-double machine as of late, Sabonis now leads the NBA in that with 17 on the season and 11 in his last 21 games. Sabonis has 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 dimes against the Suns back on Jan. 16. He could be in line for another big game given his usage as a playmaker in this Kings offense.
Phoenix Suns
Bradley Beal: Prior to his last game, Beal had attempted 21 or more shots in three straight, scoring 43, 25 and 30 points in those games. Predicting the Suns’ leading scorer night to night is nearly impossible, but the former Washington Wizards guard has shown he can put up big numbers when he gets the usage. SAC limited him to just 13 points the last time these teams met – I don’t expect that to happen again.
Kings vs. Suns prediction and pick
There are some trends that line up nicely in this game to bet on the Kings.
Sacramento is 8-5 ATS as a road underdog this season while the Suns have struggled as home favorites, going just 8-14-1 ATS on the season.
This is the fourth meeting between these teams, and Phoenix’s lone win was a two-point one at home back on Jan. 16.
I don’t think it’s impossible for the Suns to come away with the victory, but the Kings match up well with them, posting the length on the wing to deal with Kevin Durant, Beal and Devin Booker.
The Suns do outrank the Suns in offensive, defensive and net rating – hence the Kings being set as underdogs, but I think five points may be too many points to give this Kings team tonight.
SAC is 4-1 ATS when set as an underdog of four or more points in the 2023-24 season.
Pick: Kings +5 (-108)
