Faced with key injuries, the 76ers have lost three straight games after Wednesday’s overtime defeat in Atlanta. Philadelphia now returns home to face the Sacramento Kings. Can Philadelphia bounce back in front of its home crowd? The 76ers dropped home games against the New York Knicks and Utah Jazz last week, both by double figures.

Sacramento’s east coast road trip has been kind to the Kings, which enters Friday’s matchup after back-to-back road wins against two of the bottom feeders of the Eastern Conference (Detroit, Charlotte).

The Kings will get a step up in class when they face the struggling Sixers. Here’s everything to know to bet on this matchup.

Kings vs. 76ers key players to watch

Sacramento Kings

Domantas Sabonis: With Embiid still sidelined, the focus turns to the Kings’ frontcourt and Sabonis has been dominant all season. The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging 20.2 points per game, is seventh in the NBA in assists (7.7 per game), and leads the league in rebounds (12.7). Sabonis has grabbed at least 10 boards in 20 consecutive games and has a great matchup tonight with the reigning MVP on the bench for Philadelphia.

Philadelphia 76ers

Paul Reed: The DePaul product has started in place of Embiid over the last two games. He’s combined for 25 points and 12 rebounds. Reed and Marcus Morris have each seen an increase in playing time with Embiid out. Morris is 6-for-15 from beyond the arc with 10 rebounds in the last two contests.

Kings vs. 76ers prediction and pick

It’s a matchup between two of the top-10 scoring offenses in the NBA. These two teams combine for 238 points per game and Philadelphia will have to keep pace with the high-scoring Kings with Embiid’s injury hurting the Sixers defensively. Philadelphia has the 2nd-rated defense in the league this season, but Embiid plays a huge role.

The 76ers gave up 259 points over the last two games with Embiid out and Sacramento ranks tied for second in the NBA in three-pointers per game (15.2) and fifth in field goal percentage from two-point range (56.3%). Philadelphia has been great against the spread at home this season (13-6), but the Sixers' struggles without Embiid continue tonight against the red-hot Kings.

Sacramento is 6-2 ATS this season as an underdog. Bet the Kings.
