Domantas Sabonis' social media page is hilariously outdated

For the last two-plus years, Domantas Sabonis has been a key part of the Sacramento Kings. Last season, he was first on the team in rebounds (13.7 RPG) and assists (8.2 APG) and second in points (19.4 PPG).

He was such an integral part of their operation that, after getting the blessing of Hall of Famer Bob Davies' children, the Kings decided to allow Sabonis to wear the number 11 next year (a number that has been retired since 1990).

All this is to say that Sabonis is a pretty recognizable member of the Kings. But that's not what it says on his Twitter...

A Long Overdue Bio Update

Sabonis does not really use his Twitter account (I refuse to call it "X") anymore. The last thing on his page is a retweet from January 30, 2021. His last original tweet was regarding a 2K tournament he was participating in that was crafted on July 19, 2020.

Regardless, Sabonis has not officially used his Twitter since he was traded to the Kings on February 9, 2022. And it looks like he must have deleted the app altogether because if you look at his bio, it suggests that he still plays for the Indiana Pacers.

In the grand scheme of things, it isn't really that big of a deal. But it is pretty hilarious that Sabonis didn't think to take a second to change his bio to reflect the change in teams.

Other Social Media Is Up To Date

The good news is that Sabonis isn't completely ashamed of his current employer (I'm totally kidding, by all accounts, he loves the city of Sacramento). If you look at his Instagram (which he uses much more frequently – his most recent post on July 17, 2024), his bio reads, "Professional Basketball Player for the Sacramento Kings."

Who knows, maybe Sabonis will get ahold of this post and update his job status!
