The Sacramento Kings are looking to avoid the No. 9 or No. 10 spot in the NBA’s play-in tournament this season, but they’ll have a tough matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.

OKC is favored in this game with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander off the injury report and expected to return from a quad injury.

While the Kings have been solid as road underdogs, I’m looking to the prop market for two of my favorite bets in this matchup.

Let’s break them both down:

Kings vs. Thunder best NBA prop bets

  • Domantas Sabonis OVER 14.5 rebounds
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 28.5 points

Domantas Sabonis OVER 14.5 rebounds

Domantas Sabonis is one of the NBA’s best rebounders, averaging 13.8 boards per game this season, and he’s cleared 14.5 rebounds in three of his last four games.

He’s picked up 13, 16 and 14 rebounds in his meetings with OKC, and the Thunder have struggled this season on the glass, ranking 28th in the league in rebounding percentage.

Sabonis is averaging an NBA-best 23.0 rebound chances per game this season, so asking him to pick 15 or more isn’t as crazy of a task as it would be for many other players. I think he thrives against one of the league’s worst rebounding teams.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 28.5 points

SGA is back in action after missing the last four games and six of his last seven with a quad ailment.

The All-NBA guard is one of the best scorers in the NBA this season, averaging 30.3 points per game while shooting 53.9 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from 3.

SGA has scored 29 or more points in 54 of his 71 games this season, so we’re getting a bit of a discount on his prop on Tuesday.

In his matchups with the Kings, the two-time All-Star has gone for 33, 43 and 38 points. He’s going to have a chance for another big scoring game tonight.
