4. DeMar DeRozan

Average Annual Value: 24.6 million dollars

Production Value: 30.6 million dollars

Difference: 6 million dollars

Executing a sign-and-trade for DeMar DeRozan was the Kings' biggest move of the summer. And while he isn't an All-Star caliber player anymore, he is still a high-level starter. One that the Kings were able to nab for minimal assets (although the pick swap they gave the San Antonio Spurs may come back to bite them) and at a good price.

The three-year, 74 million dollar contract that DeRozan agreed to with the Kings was an absolute bargain. Based on his 9.0 EW, DeRozan's deal should look more like a three-year, 91.8 million dollar contract. This says nothing about the fact that the third year of DeRozan's contract isn't even guaranteed. The more time you spend thinking about it, the more the logic of this DeRozan acquisition feels sound.
