If you have been following professional team sports for long enough, you have surely heard the saying that "everyone is available for the right price."

That maxim is true, but for some players, the right price isn't a reasonable one. And for our Sacramento Kings, I posit that there are four players who the team would require so much to trade that there isn't a realistic trade that a team could make for them at this juncture.

In this post (as the title suggests), we are going to rank these four players (from least untouchable to most untouchable). Now, without further ado, let the games begin.

#4: Devin Carter

In the 2024 NBA Draft, despite many people (myself included) contemplating whether the Kings would trade the 13th overall pick for a more proven, the franchise went in the opposite direction – selecting (and keeping) Devin Carter.

The fact that they didn't trade the pick away (or that we haven't heard any reports of them trying to do so since draft day) tells me that the Kings really like Carter. And how could you blame them? Based on many draft boards, it seems like Carter fell to them at 13. Plus, some very smart people believe that he could develop into the same type of player as Derrick White (an integral part of the world champion Boston Celtics).

In my opinion, it would take a pretty nice return package for the Kings to trade Carter before they can see what he can do (which could take a while).
