Team #3: Cleveland Cavaliers

Unlike the Spurs, who project to be a good defense next year, the Cleveland Cavaliers already have an elite defensive unit (sixth in defensive rating). That's because they have not one, but two defensive anchors in Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.

The problem is that the Cavaliers like to play their twin tower bigs together quite often, and while that is great for their defense, it is absolutely awful for their spacing. So, to correct for this, they need to use the other three spots to get as much shooting on the floor as possible.

We know what you might be thinking. Don't the Cavaliers already have a movement shooter in Max Strus?

Yes, but Huerter is arguably an upgraded version of this archetype. Last season, Huerter was in the 80th percentile in Offensive Estimated Plus-Minus (OFF EPM). Meanwhile, Strus finished in the 72nd percentile. Strus may be the better defender between the two, but you don't need to worry as much about defense if you are playing Mobley and Allen at the same time.

Also, no one ever said that you can't play Huerter and Strus together. Just imagine how much shooting and floor spacing a lineup featuring both of them would give you.
