Stone Hansen: Upside Swings

Stone Hansen has been making big boards for nearly a decade. Over the last four cycles, he's been a key member of the Upside Swings podcast (one of the most popular podcasts in the Draft Twitter community). Here is what Hansen had to say about the Carter selection:

""The Kings selecting Carter is an instantaneous boost on the defensive end. The beauty is that he is not limited to one specific role. If Sacramento needs a point-of-attack defender, Carter has the quick hands and anticipation to do that. If they need a low man help side rim protector, he has the verticality and awareness to fill that role. If they need a lockdown defender on the wing…you get the point. Offensively, he is a good connective passer and a strong driver who uses a low center of gravity and impressive shin angles to gain advantages as an attacker toward the rim. The shooting touch is inconsistent, and the track record in comparison to his most recent year tells two different stories. I don’t think he’ll be any sort of shooting liability. It just may be unreliable. Overall, in my estimation, Sacramento gets an immediate rotational piece who has the potential to be an All-Defensive caliber guard someday. Great pick. ""
