After months of waiting, we now know who the Sacramento Kings will spend their 2024 first round pick on. At the 13th pick, the Kings selected the 22-year-old out of Providence, Devin Carter.

I like to spend my offseasons catching up on some of the most interesting upcoming rookies. However, for the most part, I spend the majority of my time watching NBA basketball. That means that I am not nearly as qualified as some people (individuals who study the draft year-round) to discuss the games of some of these draftees.

So, to address my ignorance, I have brought in four of my most trusted Twitter (I refuse to call it "X") draft experts to help us figure out what to expect from our team's newest member.

(Sidebar: Keep in mind that many of Twitter's best draft experts end up getting hired by NBA teams. So, the people offering these opinions very well could be the ones drafting these players someday.)

After spending years covering the Memphis Grizzlies for SB Nation, Parker Fleming joined the Draft Twitter world this cycle. Carter was among one of the many prospects he scouted heavily. Here is what he had to say about his fit on the Kings:

""The Sacramento Kings got an absolute dawg with Devin Carter. It's a bit of a small fit in the backcourt with De'Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, and Keon Ellis. However, he plays much bigger than listed. He crashes the glass. He's a defensive event monster – an impossible guard to get clean looks against with his screen navigation and shot-blocking. Offensively, his value should be more clear as a glue guy, especially with his shooting spike this past season. If you want a player comp, he can be for the Kings what Brandin Podziemski is for the Golden State Warriors. Great pick for a Kings team that needs to bolster its defense.""
