Stud: Domantas Sabonis

Domantas Sabonis absolutely dominated in the paint and was aggressive all game long. He didn’t let another young Center outplay him and stepped up to lead the team for the second time now since Fox has been out after not doing it in Houston.

Maybe his poor play against Alperen Sengun and the Rockets was a wake-up call, or maybe he just had a few off games. Whatever it was, Sabonis looks ready to be his best self.

He finished the game with 17 points, 13 rebounds, 13 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. With his first triple-double of the season, he now has the most in Kings’ history, cementing his name with some of the franchise bests.

While dominating offensively and picking apart the defense with his passes, he was also a presence defensively. Rookie sensation Chet Holmgren only made five baskets against Sabonis and his backup Alex Len, meaning that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had to carry much of the scoring load by himself.
