Kessler Edwards
Will he be ready in case his number is called?
Kessler Edwards has not seen the court a lot but might get chances here and there while Huerter, Lyles, and Vezenkov are out. He did against the Washington Wizards and played well.
It is not easy to stay ready while spending most games on the bench, but Edwards has done well so far. Now, he just needs to keep it going down the stretch.
JaVale McGee
Can he be the veteran presence the Kings need?
JaVale McGee has not played much lately, but his value goes far beyond what he does on the court. The loss to the Wizards makes it seem that the Kings could use a good talk from someone who knows what it takes to win in the NBA.
Mike Brown’s words will eventually fall on dead ears, so can McGee help guide his younger teammates on the right path?
Colby Jones
How is his development coming along?
Rookie Colby Jones will not have much of a role in Sacramento’s playoff chase. His value lies in the future, not the present.
This season, and maybe the next one as well, is all about development and growth for Jones. He has impressed in the G League so far and his time in the NBA will come as well.
