Harrison Barnes

Can he have an impact in the biggest games?

Harrison Barnes has the frustrating tendency to disappear in big games. The Kings will need his veteran savvy and experience down the stretch, and, with Huerter out, everyone has to be active offensively. Keon Ellis will not replace Huerter’s offensive potential, so it is up to Barnes to make his presence known on that end of the floor.

Besides, he is the only Kings’ rotational player with meaningful playoff runs under his belt.

Kevin Huerter

How long will his shoulder injury keep him out?

Kevin Huerter has been struggling all season long but this injury could not have come at a worse time. Even when he is not making shots, defenses respect him and that stretches the floor.

The injury he sustained against Memphis looked incredibly painful, and the Kings just released that he suffered a dislocated shoulder and labral tear. That will keep him out for quite some time, and even if he comes back for the playoffs, he might not be in the best shape.

Keon Ellis

Is he ready to be a full-time starter?

Keon Ellis has impressed everyone in and around Sacramento with his defensive activity and talent. Now, with Huerter sidelined, he is a starter. That is a lot of responsibility for a 24-year-old in his first full NBA season.

His presence has helped redefine the Kings’ defensive identity in the month of March. Can he keep it going and help carry the team to the playoffs?
