There are a lot of opinions as to how the upcoming rebuild will look for the Sacramento Kings. One player the front office needs to look at is Dillon Brooks. The Canadian baller may be divisive, but he's also helped rebuild the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, and now the Phoenix Suns.

Whether you love Dillon Brooks or hate him, there's no denying the fact that Dillon Brooks brings a certain energy to every team he plays with. The best word to describe it is swagger. Fans saw that particularly during his tenure on the Grizzlies alongside Ja Morant.

The team had confidence that basically disappeared when he was traded to the Rockets. Brooks' two seasons with Houston coincided with a similar increase in confidence and success. Then, he was traded to the Suns as part of the deal for Kevin Durant, who has kept the good times rolling in H-Town.

Now, the Suns are playing some of their best basketball in years. Once again, the same swagger and confidence that follows Brooks around has taken root within the Phoenix franchise. They quite literally just beat a Lakers team stacked with some of the best players in the league today.

Dillon Brooks could save the Kings

On the court, Dillon the Villain is known as a tenacious, if not borderline savage, defender. He works hard to get into the heads of his opponents and pushes them into making mistakes that he takes advantage of. The other side of that coin is that he collects fouls, techs, and flagrants like Pokemon.

The Kings need the level of confidence and intense defensive play Brooks brings to every team he plays for. At this point, there's no denying the impact he has on each roster. If you need proof, look at the hollow shell of themselves the Grizzlies have turned into since his departure.

Keeping that in mind, the Suns might not be willing to part with Brooks. It took the offer of Kevin Durant to get him away from the Rockets. That being said, it's worth the conversation. He's the kind of guy you hate to play against, but love having on your team. That team could be the Kings.

To make this rebuild work, the Kings need more than confidence. They are going to need Dillon Brooks-levels of swagger, particularly if the roster is primarily made up of young stars trying to find their way in the league. Plus, it would be funny to see Brooks play on the same team as Westbrook.
