Man, does time fly? It feels like just yesterday we were tipping off the 2024-25 NBA season. Now, the Sacramento Kings are getting ready to embark on their regular season finale against the Phoenix Suns.
While the Suns no longer have any horses in the race, the Kings definitely have something to play for. If the Kings win this game or the Dallas Mavericks lose to the Memphis Grizzlies, the Kings will clinch the ninth seed in the Western Conference. That means that they will host the first play-in game against the Mavericks at Golden 1 Center.
But who will the Kings have available for this game? What about the Suns? Here is the full injury report ahead of both team's final game of the regular season.
Sacramento Kings Injury Report
Outside of a few brief rough patches, the Kings have been a pretty healthy team for most of the season. On the year, they have the fewest dollars lost from player injuries of any team in the NBA (per Spotrac). Lately, though, their luck hasn't been so great, as the team has been regularly had two or three rotation-level players listed on their injury report.
Today will be a similar story, as two rotation players find themselves on the injury sheet. One we know will be out for certain is Jake LaRavia, who is listed as "out" with a thumb injury. On March 28, it was reported that LaRavia would be re-evaluated in seven to ten days. On Monday, it was announced that LaRavia has been cleared for light on-court workouts. So, LaRavia should be back on the court soon.
The other guy who will definitely be missing in action is Malik Monk. Monk left the Kings' win against the Detroit Pistons early with a calf injury and did not return. It has since been reported that, for the second straight season, Monk would be out for the remainder of the regular season and the play-in.
Phoenix Suns Injury Report
The Suns appear to have no desire to win this game, as their three highest-paid players are all listed as "out" for this game. So, that means we will not see Kevin Durant (ankle), Devin Booker (calf), or Bradley Beal (rest) this afternoon. Nick Richards is also on the injury sheet. He is listed as "out" with elbow inflammation.
Win or lose, after this game, the Kings will play the Mavericks in the first round of the play-in on Wednesday, April 16.
