The Sacramento Kings have won their last three games, and to make things even better, they are now guaranteed a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament after the Phoenix Suns were dismantled by the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.
Now, they are set to face off against the Denver Nuggets, a team with a lot of controversy surrounding them after the surprising firing of their long-time head coach, Michael Malone, and the architect of their 2024 Championship roster, Calvin Booth.
These sorts of games usually go one of two ways. Sometimes, the spiraling team continues their downward trajectory and loses in a miserable way. And in other situations, they galvanize around their interim head coach and put together a winning streak (kind of like the Kings did earlier this year with Doug Christie).
With this in mind, who will the Kings have available for tonight's game? What about the Nuggets? Here is the full injury report ahead of this Western Conference showdown.
Sacramento Kings Injury Report
Outside of a few brief rough patches, the Kings have been a pretty healthy team for most of the season. On the year, they have the fewest dollars lost from player injuries of any team in the NBA (per Spotrac). Lately, though, their luck hasn't been so great, as the team has been regularly had two or three rotation-level players listed on their injury report.
Tonight will be a similar story, as three rotation players find themselves on the injury sheet. One we know will be out for certain is Jake LaRavia, who is listed as "out" with a thumb injury. On March 28, it was reported that LaRavia would be re-evaluated in seven to ten days. On Monday, it was announced that LaRavia has been cleared for light on-court workouts. So, LaRavia should be back on the court soon.
The other guy who will definitely be missing in action is Malik Monk. Monk left the Kings' win against the Detroit Pistons early with a calf injury and did not return. There is no timetable on when he will be back in the fold.
Meanwhile, after missing two games with a back injury, Keegan Murray could be returning to the lineup tonight. He is currently listed as "questionable," which usually means the player has a 50/50 chance of participating in the upcoming game.
Outside of those two, both Mason Jones and Isaiah Crawford are listed as "out" due to their G-League obligations.
Denver Nuggets Injury Report
The Nuggets' injury report is much easier to get through. Although, it does include one key piece of their offense. Jamal Murray, who has missed the Nuggets' last five games with a hamstring injury, is listed as "doubtful" for tonight (giving him a roughly 25% chance of playing).
Other than Murray, the only other name to note here is DaRon Holmes II. He has been out all season after suffering a torn Achilles during the Summer League.
After tonight's game, the Kings will play the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, April 11.
