After a back-breaking loss to the Denver Nuggets on Monday, the Sacramento Kings are hoping to bounce back and climb up the Western Conference hierarchy by beating the Los Angeles Lakers (who are 1.5 games ahead of them in the standings).
But who will the Sacramento Kings have available to them in this contest? Who will the Lakers have on their side? Here is the full injury report.
Sacramento Kings Injury Report
The Sacramento Kings could either be really beat up or relatively healthy coming into this game against the Lakers. This may seem overly obvious, but hear us out on this.
Kevin Huerter and Keegan Murray were both late scratches against the Nuggets. Huerter was dealing with issues related to his surgically repaired shoulder while Murray was nursing an ankle injury.
Domantas Sabonis is also listed on ESPN's injury report. Sabonis took a hard fall going up for a dunk against the Nuggets. He played the rest of the game (performing admirably in the process), but it looks like he was coasting off adrenaline, as he's now dealing with a back contusion. Remember, it was a back injury that caused him to miss two games earlier this year.
All three of those players are listed as questionable. So, that means they each have a 50/50 chance of playing. Hopefully, the coin flip lands on our side for all of those cases.
Outside of them, the Kings will be without Devin Carter – who has been recovering from an offseason shoulder injury – and Trey Lyles – who has missed the last nine games with a calf injury.
Los Angeles Lakers Injury Report
As for the Lakers, their two future Hall of Famers are both listed on the injury report. Anthony Davis is probable with a foot injury. So, give him roughly a 75% chance of playing against the Kings. Meanwhile, the NBA's all-time leading scorer (and a whole lot of other things), LeBron James, is a little less likely to suit up, as his foot injury has him listed as questionable.
Outside of those two, the Lakers will continue to be without Jarred Vanderbilt (knee), Christian Wood (knee), Jaxson Hayes (ankle), and Jalen Hood-Schifino (hamstring).
This game marks the first of two straight home games the Kings will play against the Lakers. The second one will take place on Saturday, December 21.
