The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors have a long-standing rivalry, making anytime they faceoff must-see TV. But this matchup was a little off, as the teams had several players out injured between them. That included some of their biggest names, such as Stephen Curry and Zach LaVine.
The injury report for tonight's Kings vs Warriors game is getting heavy.

Kings:
Zach LaVine (Back Soreness) - Questionable
Domantas Sabonis (Ribs) - Questionable
Keegan Murray (Thumb) - Out
Warriors:
Steph Curry (Illness) - Out
Draymond Green (Ribs) - Questionable
Jimmy Butler…
Leading into the game, social media was fluttering with reports of who was and wasn't injured. Keegan Murray wasn't a surprise to anyone as he's still recovering from his thumb injury and subsequent surgery. There hasn't been an announcement about his return.
Stephen Curry was also a concern before the tweets started flowing. NBA media had been talking about his illness for a while. The speculation was that he was unlikely to play against the Kings to give him more time to heal. Apparently, he is incredibly sick and is getting well deserved rest.
Then, the names started piling up. Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, and Brandin Podziemski were all questionable for the Warriors with Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine potentially out for the Kings. When gametime hit, the vast majority of those reports came true, leading to some roster changes.
Kings and Warriors got to their benches
Sabonis, LaVine, Green, and Butler all ended up sitting the game out, though Podziemski did play, Compounding that was the fact that the Kings had just assigned four players to their G League team, the Stockton Kings. They ended up calling Dylan Cardwell and Maxime Raynaud back up.
The Kings starting lineup was DeMar DeRozan, Russell Westbrook, Drew Eubanks, Nique Clifford, and Dennis Schroder. On the other side, the Warriors went with Will Richard, Jonathan Kuminga, Quinten Post, Brandin Podziemski, and Moses Moody. It was an interesting look to start the game.
Ultimately, the Kings won with all five of their starters in double digits as well as Malik Monk. Fortunately, he returned from injury in time for this game. Credit needs to be given to the Warriors' starters, too, as Richard, Podziemski, and Mooidy all turned in fantastic performances.
Getting this win was big for Sacramento, regardless of the fact their opponents had their three top players on the bench. Their record is now three and five with this win moving them up to 11th in the Western Conference.
Keeping in mind it's a long season and a lot of games left to play, that puts them just on the edge of the Play-In Tournament.
