The Sacramento Kings keep entering games in dire straits, and they keep walking away from these outings with losses. The Kings have lost 10 of their last 13 games, despite being in a tightly contested race for a Western Conference Play-In spot.
Now, the Kings have to play against the Washington Wizards, who are probably more focused on increasing their odds of drafting Cooper Flagg than playing spoiler.
Still, given how poorly the Kings have been playing, nothing can be taken for granted. So, who will the Kings have available for this game? What about the Wizards? Here is the full injury report ahead of this cross-conference clash.
Sacramento Kings Injury Report
Outside of a few brief rough patches, the Kings have been a pretty healthy team for most of the season. On the year, they have the third-fewest dollars lost from player injuries of any team in the NBA (per Spotrac). Lately, though, their luck hasn't been so great, as the team has been regularly had two or three rotation-level players listed on their injury report.
In this game, the Kings will also be down two rotation players. Fortunately, neither one of them are starters. Devin Carter (shoulder) and Jake LaRavia (thumb) are both listed as "out" for this game.
Carter left the Kings' loss against the Orlando Magic 30 seconds into his stint in the game. This shoulder injury is not the same one he had offseason shoulder surgery on (he had surgery on his left shoulder, and this injury is to his right).
On Friday, it was reported that LaRavia would be re-evaluated in seven to ten days. So, we probably won't see him for the rest of this week.
Washington Wizards Injury Report
As you would expect from a tanking team in April, the Wizards have a pretty extensive injury report heading into this one. It's not that they are manufacturing injuries out of thin air. But they also aren't letting anyone play through any soreness.
The Wizards will be without seven rotation-level players against the Kings. Bilal Coulibaly (hamstring), Corey Kispert (thumb), Marcus Smart (finger), Malcolm Brogdon (ankle), Saddiq Bey (knee), Kyshawn George (ankle), and Khris Middleton (knee) are all listed as "out" for tonight's game.
There are only two players with some ambiguity around their status for this game. JT Thor and Colby Jones are both labeled as "questionable," but not because of injuries. Rather, it is because of their G-League obligations.
After this game, the Kings will continue their six-game road trip by traveling to Charlotte to play the Hornets on Friday, April 4.
