The Golden State Warriors are all but done with Jonathan Kuminga with the Sacramento Kings still in play for his services. One Warrior who will be sad to see Kuminga go is Draymond Green, who had a lot of positive things to say about JK. It shows Kuminga might be the guy the Kings need.
Look, there's no question that Draymond's relationship with the Warriors is getting increasingly strained. Despite what the Golden State front office claims, they may trade the champion, All-Star, and Defensive Player of the Year as part of their own rebuild. And the Kings should not take him.
That doesn't mean that Draymond doesn't know what he's talking about. Never afraid to speak his mind, he jumped on his podcast to talk about how Kuminga is dealing with being perpetually benched by Steve Kerr for no real reason. JK could start a benched support group with Malik Monk.

Green would go on to describe how Kuminga is handling the situation with grace, dignity, and maturity. He continues to be a support to other young players on the roster, offering them guidance and preaching patience. That sounds like the kind of leadership the Kings need moving forward.
Maybe it's time for the Kings' to take trade talks with Warriors up a notch
When the Warriors and Kuminga were trying to sort things out over the summer, the Kings were in the mix as a potential trade destination. It obviously didn't happen, though many wondered why Sacramento was pursuing JK when they already had Keegan Murray.
The first several weeks of the season have explained that. Murray has been injured a lot, and is incredibly inconsisent on the court when he does play. Sacramento gets a really different Murray from one game to the next. It doesn't seem like Murray is ready for the role of team leader.
On the other hand, Kuminga seems like he really is prepared to charge of a team. He just needs the opportunity, and the Kings can give him that. Plus, he has a lot of upside with superstar potential, a player who can score, play well off the ball, and stonewall on defense.
Again, the Kings definitely do not want Draymond Green on their team. He's not the player he used to be, and seems really angry about it. But his opinions are often on the money. Sacramento needs to pay attention to his thoughts on Jonathan Kuminga as they plan the rebuild.
