The Sacramento Kings are 22-20, which means they have played 42 games, and in an 82-game regular season, it puts them right past the halfway mark. And with the team in the eighth seed in the Western Conference, they are firmly in the mix for play-in/playoff position.

This has many fans of the team looking ahead at the schedule to see what parts will be easy and which stints will be treacherous. So, here is a breakdown of their schedule.

Sacramento Kings Remaining Schedule

A great tool when it comes to looking at a team's difficulty of schedule is the website Tankathon. On the website, there is a feature that calculates the win percentage of every team's remaining opponents and compares them to the rest of the league.

According to Tankathon, the Kings have the eighth-hardest remaining strength of schedule. Their toughest opponents left are the Cleveland Cavaliers (two games against), Oklahoma City Thunder (two games), New York Knicks (two games), Boston Celtics (one game), Houston Rockets (one game), and Memphis Grizzlies (one game).

Meanwhile, their easiest opponents left on the itinerary are the New Orleans Pelicans (three games), Portland Trail Blazers (two games), Charlotte Hornets (two games), Washington Wizards (one game), Brooklyn Nets (one game), and Utah Jazz (one game).

As long as the Pelicans aren't healthy by this time, the Kings' easiest stretch for the rest of the regular season is from February 6 to February 26. During that span, the Kings play eight games (one back-to-back) against the Trail Blazers (February 6), Pelicans (February 8), Dallas Mavericks (February 10), Pelicans (February 12 & 13), Golden State Warriors (February 21), and Hornets (February 24). Outside of the Mavericks, none of those teams are particularly dangerous (the Warriors have been faltering since their 12-3 start to the season).

Their toughest time will come immediately after this – from March 1 to March 10. In this span, they play six games (one back-to-back) against the Rockets (March 1), Mavericks (March 3), Denver Nuggets (March 5), San Antonio Spurs (March 7), Los Angeles Clippers (March 9), and Knicks (March 10). That is five straight games against teams they will be competing against for playoff seeding, followed by a game against one of the best offenses (second in offensive rating) in basketball in the Knicks.
