Best, worst, and most likely case scenario for Sacramento Kings in 2024-25 NBA Season

Most Likely Case Scenario
In life, things are never strictly one way or strictly the other. They are normally somewhere in between. Basketball is no different.
For most teams, the best/worst case scenarios are not how the season plays out. If probability plays out for the Kings, their season will likely look something like this: make it to the playoffs as either a top 6 seed or play-in, and then have a strong first round series that they either lose narrowly or barely escape before losing in the second round.
If you feel like you are having a spell of deja vu, it's because this sounds eerily similar to the 2022-23 season. There, the Kings made the playoffs as a three seed and took the defending champion Golden State Warriors to seven games.
If that happened to them this year, many fans would be disappointed. But given the glaring flaws on this roster (not enough two-way players and rim protection) and the fierce competition out West, it seems like the most likely outcome for them in 2024-25 (barring a major trade).
