After 16 seasons, the Sacramento Kings are finally playing meaningful and enjoyable basketball again. With the preseason just about two weeks away it is time to get excited about Kings’ basketball again. There is a lot to look forward to, such as Keegan Murray’s development, De’Aaron Fox’s individual success, and the team’s push for the playoffs.

Fans will be able to watch all this and more in many ways, be it on TV or with streaming services.

Which channels show Kings’ basketball?

The main channel for in-market fans to watch Sacramento is NBC Sports California, but the Kings also have 22 games on national TV: 6 on TNT, 5 on ESPN, and 11 on NBA TV. While this is a nice number that represents the team’s new-found success, it is still a ways away from the number of nationally televised games some of the bigger markets will have next season.

The Lakers and Warriors, for example, have 40 and 41 games respectively that will be on national TV. For the Kings, this is still quite the accomplishment, however, as it marks the highest number of nationally televised games in a season since 2004-05.

The Kings’ first game on national TV is their home opener on October 27 against the Warriors in a rematch of last season’s first-round matchup. It looks like this might become one of the NBA’s newest rivalries, but the beam team will also face the Lakers, the Nuggets, the Suns, and the Celtics, among others, with the entire nation watching.

NBA on ESPN/ABC in the 2023-2024 season

ESPN and ABC will broadcast much more than just the Kings’ five appearances on the network. Wednesdays and Friday nights are the days to tune into ESPN for some nationally televised basketball action, while ABC will show games on the weekend once the NFL season ends. The first game on ESPN will be on October 25, when the Celtics and Knicks meet. To find the complete schedule, click here.

NBA on TNT schedule for 2023-24

Including the Kings’ six games on the network, TNT will show 65 games in the upcoming season. Their first broadcast will be on October 24 for a matchup between the Lakers and Nuggets. Meanwhile, the Kings make their first appearance on TNT on November 28 against the Warriors. To check out the full schedule, click here.

Where is Kings basketball available for streaming?

For everyone not living in California or even in the U.S., there are still plenty of options available. The NBA League Pass, for example, allows you to watch all NBA games live or on-demand for $149.99 per season. Here is a look at everything the League Pass offers.

Other options that include more than just basketball are FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV. They all include different combinations of NBC Sports California, NBA TV, ESPN, and TNT with paid subscriptions. To try a free trial with FuboTV, click here.

Furthermore, HBO Max will offer a new Bleacher Report Add-On with content that airs on TNT, starting October 5. This will include 65 live regular season games and All-Star weekend. With an HBO Max subscription, this will be free until February 29 and then cost $9.99 per month for the rest of the season.
