Sidy Cissoko, the French guard, has finished up his first season with G League Ignite as an impressive prospect. The 19-year-old averaged 12.8 points, 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game with 45/30/64 shooting splits. Cissoko is a 6’8″ prospect with a 6’10” wingspan, but his skill and defense impress the most.

While Cissoko’s stats do not jump off the page, he was barely a third option for this G League Ignite squad. Playing alongside projected top-three pick Scoot Henderson and projected first-rounder Leonard Miller, Cissoko did not get as much of a chance to shine on offense. But he was able to shine on defense, leading the team in blocks and steals.

Sidy Cissoko is one of the youngest prospects in the 2023 NBA Draft, and he will have no trouble transitioning to the league. He is one of the most impressive off-ball defenders in the class, with the ability to lockdown on-ball as well.

Cissoko lacks a consistent jump shot, but his offense is impressive inside the arc. He is an impressive finisher who is great about getting to the basket and finishing strong. With the ball in his hands, Cissoko is a playmaker. With his size, he makes incredible passes and has elite court vision.

The Sacramento Kings should be looking for an unselfish player with elite two-way potential, as the only thing he is missing is a jump shot. Cissoko’s hustle would fit in with Sacramento’s energy and be a great bench piece on a team desperate for wing depth with multiple pending free agents.
