1. Kyle Lowry, Drafted in 2006

Coming off an NBA Finals appearance with the Miami Heat, Kyle Lowry showed the world he can still ball. The 37-year-old point guard was drafted 24th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2006 and has made his mark on the league.

After not finding much success in Memphis, the Grizzlies dealt him to the Houston Rockets mid-way through the 2008-09 season, where he started to pick it up. After breakout seasons in 2010 and 2011, Lowry found his way to the Toronto Raptors, where we all grew to know and respect him.

Kyle Lowry averaged 17.5 points, 7.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game through his nine seasons in Toronto. His best season came in 2016-17 when he averaged 22.4 points, 7.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game on impressive 46/41/82 shooting splits.

Kyle Lowry has made a strong argument as the greatest player in Toronto Raptors’ history, centered around winning the 2019 NBA Finals. Lowry is a six-time NBA All-Star and 2015-16 All-NBA Third Team. Being arguably the greatest player in a franchise’s history, Lowry is also making his case for the Hall of Fame.

Lowry has been a fantastic playoff performer, highlighted by his championship and two Finals appearances. Even as a backup point guard for the Miami Heat last season, Lowry stepped up and had big games when it mattered most.

Kyle Lowry has had a Hall of Fame caliber career and gives hope to the Sacramento Kings with the 24th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
