Finally, in comes the infamous Draymond Green. The 4-time All-Star, 4-time champion, 2-time All-NBA, and 2017 Defensive Player of the Year is a future Hall of Famer and could be a game-changing addition to the Sacramento Kings. While he is, by no means, a fan favorite, his impact is undeniable.

Draymond Green and Mike Brown had a strong connection when they were together on the Warriors, which is a potential factor heading into Green’s free agency decision. Draymond does have a player option but could opt out if he feels he has better options elsewhere. Green has given praise to Brown before (via #thisleague UNCUT):

"“I also said that now that the Kings have Mike Brown, I expect them to change…give credit where credit is due. What Mike Brown has gone to Sacramento is absolutely amazing. I expect him to continue taking that franchise upward in the right direction. I give them their props. They’re doing a great job.”"

The 6’6″ forward has a 511-247 career record, making him one of the most winningest players ever. In his 11th NBA season, he averaged 8.5 points, 6.8 assists, 7.2 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game, showing he does it all.

Draymond Green would bring veteran and championship experience to an inexperienced, young Sacramento Kings squad. Green’s playmaking ability would greatly complement a lineup of De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, and Domantas Sabonis. His defense would make up for some of the defensive lapses we have seen from the Kings this season, filling holes on both ends of the court.
