1. Bilal Coulibaly
The French forward, Bilal Coulibaly, is the most underrated prospect in the draft. The 18-year-old has been playing professionally for the past two years, recently showing how good he can be. He is listed as 6’7″ with a 7’2″ wingspan, as he uses his length to his advantage. Playing alongside generational talent Victor Wembanyana, Coulibaly did not get as much opportunity to show what he does.
Coulibaly has the potential to be the best two-way player in the draft. His offense is centered around his athleticism, as he blows past his defender, then dunks over anybody standing between him and the basket. He has a very raw skillset, showing glimpses of an elite handle and an impressive pull-up jumper. While his three-point shot could use some work, it is good enough to translate to the NBA.
His defense is just as outstanding as his offense, using his length and athleticism to be a pesky on-ball defender while making the right reads to disrupt passing lanes. His positioning on offense and defense is impressive for such a raw prospect, as he shows his high basketball I.Q.
Bilal Coulibaly will be the steal of the draft.
Coulibaly has the potential to turn into a real 3&D threat in the NBA if he develops his spot-up shooting. For now, he is an athletic freak with fantastic finishing abilities and unreal defense. Since Coulibaly is not a part of the NBA combine due to his French season still happening, many teams will not see first-hand how athletically gifted he is, meaning his draft stock should not rise too much, leaving the Kings with a chance to take him with the 24th pick.
