The Drought Is Over: Celebrate the Sacramento Kings making the Playoffs

After a 16-year drought, there’s a royal celebration going on. Why? Because the Sacramento Kings are finally back in the NBA Playoffs. Gear up!

The last time the Sacramento Kings made the NBA Playoffs, the world was a bit different.

The iPhone didn’t exist yet, nor did Twitter or Instagram (shoutout MySpace). Current Kings star De’Aaron Fox was just 8-years-old. And speaking of the number 8, Kobe Bryant was still wearing No. 8 when Sactown last made the Playoffs.

With just a handful of games left in the regular season, the Kings are currently sitting as the third seed of the West. Phoenix is five games behind them, so Sacramento is a virtual lock for that three spot and an absolute lock for home-court advantage.
