While many were busy debating snubs from the all-star game starting lineups Thursday night, the Sacramento Kings social media team posted an insane video of Kevin Huerter in the gym. Not only does the video support the theory that we should see Huerter participating in the 3-point contest during all-star weekend, it flat-out proves we need to see him participate in the shooting contest.

With the casual reference to ‘light work after practice…’, the video displays an incredible shooting display that gets better and better as you watch.

While the shots aren’t what we see at the actual 3-point contest they prove how accurate he is from long range. Huerter knocks down one after another as he continues to move further and further into the opposite side of the court.

Kevin Huerter must be a participant in the 3-point contest

The video is insane and is something not many people in the entire world could replicate. Truthfully, Huerter doesn’t need the video as evidence to support his case for a spot in the 3-point contest. He has already proven he needs to be on the shortlist for the competition with his play this season.

As things stand, 29 players have attempted 300 or more 3-point field goals this season. Only four of those 29 players are knocking them down at a clip above 40 percent. Huerter is one of the four, joined by Lauri Markkanen, Buddy Hield and Stephen Curry.

His ability to make the outside shot is not where it ends. It’s how often he shoots them and still remains highly efficient for the year. Not many players have a case for being a better outside shooter than Kevin Huerter right now and for that reason, we need to see him participating in NBA all-star weekend.
