The Sacramento Kings host the Los Angeles Clippers in each team’s second game of the 2022-23 NBA season. The Kings are looking to bounce back from what was ultimately a very disappointing loss in their first game. They fell to the Trail Blazers 115-108 at home on Wednesday night.

The Clippers, on the other hand, come into this matchup with a 1-0 record and will look to keep things rolling early in the season. Los Angeles is finishing a back-to-back set in this one. They took care of the Los Angeles Lakers 103-97 on Friday night.

Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Clippers Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The Kings not only failed to cover in their season opener (-2.5), but they also lost on the Money Line as favorites. The game went under, as the total was 228.5 and the final score landed at 223. De’Aaron Fox led the Kings and looked great in game one, easily surpassing his points total of 23.5.  Domantas Sabonis fell well short of his rebound number, something that seemed like a value on the over.

In this one, the Kings are +2.5 (-110) with the total at 224.5 (-110). Paul George has the highest point total of any player in the game at 24.5, with Fox right behind him at 23.5. With how much the Kings want to shoot from behind the arc and the improvements they have made as a shooting team, one could see why the game over might be of value.

Instead of going game over, the Kings as a team might be smarter due to the Clippers coming off a close game last night against the Lakers. The Kings total is set at 111.5 (-110). These odds are from the FanDuel Sportsbook.

Kings Injury Report

Kawhi Leonard and John Wall are both out for the Clippers in this one. The Clips are down talent, while the Kings are adding rookie forward Keegan Murray to their rotation. He will make his NBA debut after missing the teams season opener.

No one is listed for the Kings on the NBA’s official Injury Report. The overall health they enter this game with makes it an absolute great opportunity to bounce back and claim their first victory of the season.

Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Clippers Prediction

Murray is going to provide a spark for Sacramento. From Summer League to the Preseason, we haven’t seen him take the court and not give the team a spark yet. That’s why they look good for their team total over, and why we expect them to come out firing against PG13 and the Clippers.

Head coach Mike Brown was not pleased following their loss to Portland, and one would think he has gotten the right points across to his players for this one. With the Clippers at risk of some tired legs and the Kings hungry to get one in the win column, we’re taking the Kings outright.

Kings 114, Clippers 106
