Sacramento Kings Bold Predictions for the 2022-2023 Season

The Kings will have two All-Star selections

General Manager Monte McNair made it no secret that he aims to speed up the timeline for the Kings’ return to relevancy. His offseason movies were highlighted by adding Kevin Heuerter and Malik Monk to the roster, which should bring in a much-needed jolt of outside shooting. Keegan Murray has already flashed his strengths as an outside shooter throughout the Summer League.

The aforementioned three’s skillset should amplify the effectiveness of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.

Sabonis was McNair’s seismic addition at the trade deadline last year, and the benefits were beginning to bear fruit into the latter half of the season. In 13 games played with Sabonis last season, Fox averaged 27.8 PPG, 6.2 APG, and 4.2 RPG. Their pick-and-roll combination already proved effective, but now imagine how much it should improve with added spacing around them.

The Western Conference is stacked with All-Star considerations, but if Fox and Sabonis were to take another leap and each average close to 25.0 PPG this season, it’s not far-fetched to predict that we could see two Kings on the Western Conference All-Star roster.
