Harrison Barnes

It is difficult to overstate the importance of 3-and-D wings, especially when teams expect to make a deep run in the playoffs. You have to be able to defend the perimeter and knock down shots from the outside in order to win important games. Harrison Barnes has turned it up a notch with the Kings and several playoff teams should be making a call.

Barnes has shot 39.4 percent from beyond the arc in his four seasons in Sacramento, including a 41.3 percent clip this season. He is doing so while adding five rebounds and nearly one steal per game to help balance out his game.

This has been Barnes’ best season since 2018 as he is averaging 17.0 points and getting to the foul line over five times per game which is a career-high. He can make an immediate impact on a playoff team either off the bench or as part of the starting rotation.

Barnes carries roughly $20 million in salary and is 29 years old so his market is not going to be quite as high as some of the other players on this roster. Still, he has to be shopped around before the deadline. The Kings can get some solid value in return for their veteran wing without sacrificing anything this season.
