Sacramento Kings: Ranking All 33 International Players In Team History
30. Sim Bhullar – Canada
Sim Bhullar was more of a trophy for Kings owner Vivek Ranadive than a potential rotation piece for the team. In 2015, Bhullar became the first player of Indian descent to play in an NBA game, though he spent most of his NBA days in the D-League. Much fan fare was made of his brief debut, an appearance that lasted just three games. He hasn’t seen an NBA court since, either.
Stats with Kings: 3 games, 3 minutes, 2 points, 1 rebound
29. Hamady N’Diaye – Senegal
The Kings signed Hamady N’Diaye in September of 2012 and he served primarily as a big body in a front court that struggled with interior defense. He was a shot blocker while playing at Rutgers, and was taken with the 56th overall pick in the 2010 Draft. He appeared in 14 games for Sacramento during the 2013-’14 season before being waived in January of 2014.
Stats with Kings: 14 games, 5.3 minutes, 0.4 points, 1.3 rebounds
28. Marco Belinelli – Italy
Marco Belinelli’s numbers are not as low as some of the other players on this portion of our list, but it was the circumstances under which he played that give him such a low ranking.
Belinelli was added as a free agent during the ugly summer of 2015, and enjoyed his worst year as a pro in Sacramento. He shot an abysmal 30.6 percent from three point range that season, a far cry from the second-worst performance of his career at 35.7 percent.
Stats with Kings: 68 games, 24.6 minutes, 10.2 points, 30.6 percent from deep
27. Vitaly Potapenko – Ukraine
I have to be honest: my only true knowledge of Vitaly Potapenko came from his Boston Celtics Upper Deck 2000 player card that I somehow ended up with six of after buying too many packs and silly trades with my friends. I don’t even remember his time in Sacramento even though it happened when I was a coherent Kings fan.
He played 12 games over the course of two seasons, totaling 45 minutes of action while backing up Brad Miller and Brian Skinner from February 2006 until he retired in 2007.
Stats with Kings: 12 games, 3.8 minutes, 0.8 points, 0.3 rebounds
