The Warriors would be a very interesting watch should they fall a few spots in the draft lottery. They will be in win-now mode and could use a player that is NBA ready, or an offer could come across their table that allows them to trade the pick away for a veteran contributor.

The only pressing need they may have is in the front court, which is why I struggled to make the right pick for Golden State here. Advijia would be a good fit on the wing either next to or behind Klay Thompson, and Onyeka Okongwu would be a nice backup plan for a big man if they aren’t able to land Wiseman. I went with Toppin on this one because of his three-point ability and knack for filling the stat sheet.

It is unknown whether Thompson or Steph Curry will return from injury this season, but they will most certainly need time at the start of next season to get adjusted to playing with their new teammates. If the Warriors have Toppin on their roster, and he is as NBA-ready as he seems to be in his sophomore season, he could help alleviate the growing pains better than more prospects.

Toppin also has the size to be considered a potential replacement for Draymond Green. The former Defensive Player of the Year may or may not be included in the Warriors long-term plans, and they would be smart to draft and develop his replacement should they feel like his time is running short in Golden State.
