#2. “City” – Red & White; 6-5 record

This year’s version of the “City” uniforms were met with mixed reviews, with some calling them one of the worst color combinations in franchise history. While there is plenty to be said about a move to wear red 13 times a year when your primary color is purple, there is no denying the Kings moderate success while wearing their controversial threads.

Sacramento wore their red uniforms for the first time on November 30th, and a majority of the fanbase gave a collective eye roll. But a bit of beginners luck for the reds gave the Kings an improbable overtime victory over one of the Western Conference’s top teams in the Denver Nuggets. Maybe the ugly red uniforms weren’t so bad after all.

Things got a little weird in the next game when the Kings decided to wear red against the Chicago Bulls. Talk about confusing. I was watching a Sacramento Kings home game against the Chicago Bulls and I was rooting for the red team. The good luck wore off as the Kings suffered a disappointing loss to a supposedly-inferior Eastern Conference opponent.

Luckily, for our eyes at least, the Kings will only be wearing their City uniform twice more this season, and not again after February 25th.
